Cinderella ...

Children started crying when she smiled at them. Men stared at her. Women choose to ignore her. But she proudly holding her head up walked to her office room. She was the senior manager in her firm. And it was not an easy journey. She had to jump so many hurdles, face infinite stares and prove herself umpteen times in order to build her career.

Some years ago, Cinderella or Cindy was all ready to go for her college farewell. She and her friends were shopping and grooming themselves for days to look gorgeous on this day. This was her final day in her college. The campus which made her bold and beautiful, strong and independent, friendly and loving. Cindy was a natural beauty, and almost all the boys in her college tried to woo her. But she was least interested. She got much higher goals in her life. She wanted to make her career before she became someone’s other half.

But there was this one boy, who was behind her for the last two years and no matter how many times she rejected him he kept on coming back more annoyingly. Cindy hoped today she didn’t have to face him. It was too irritating. But she didn’t know that he was indeed waiting for her, waiting to try to impress her one last time. And she never even in her dream would have thought when she rejected him again; a small bottle of acid was hidden in his pocket only for her.

  1. I will have to go read the overarching theme to fully understand your series. Maybe you can put a quick 1 or 2 lines explaining it.

Thanks for being part of the http://UltimateBlogChallenge.com as well

  5. That is so tragic and frightening because this happens in real world. Such men should be dipped in a well of acid and tortured slowly.

  6. This was so sad :( Such people ought to be given a dose of their own medicine. I was expecting a rosy story from the title. But you have surprised me!

  16. Yikes! This is both horrifying and sad because this guy must have really been hurt badly if he was plotting something so awful! Will we get to find out what he does?

  19. Sad that some people can't deal with rejection instead resort to inflicting pains on others. Liking your stories, Sheethal.
