How are you? I know you are good
in your ways, but how I wish I would hear you saying so, at least once.
I miss you. I missed you right
from the beginning. Missed the elder sister with whom you share your first of
everything. Your worst fears, worries, biggest secrets, love and life itself.
Even if I have been the younger one, circumstances never allowed being that. No
complaints in that, as I got enough and more of pampering’s.
There was a time I wished I could
share with you the same sisterhood bond every sisters did. Time when I wished
to have a sister to sister talk, when I didn't know what to do next, how to
move forward, and didn't know whom to ask. To know whether I am doing
everything the way it is supposed to be.
Time when I wished we could argue,
point out each other's frailties, mistakes, and bad judgment, flash the
insecurities we've had since childhood, and then come back together. Moments
when I wished to become an aunt through you, to spoil your kids and act out as
their second mom. But God obviously, always have other plans.
But I never ever regretted for all
these. Because, being who you are, made me what I am today to an extent. You taught me everything that I really needed
to know. So I am happy for that. So no matter what, I will be always there for
you. I know I could be rude at times, I am sorry for that. But I wanna tell you
that I love you explicitly. Nothing would ever make any difference to that. Love you. :)
Yours,
Me.
"Sisters, as you
know, also have a unique relationship. This is the person who has known you
your entire life, who should love you and stand by you no matter what, and yet
it's your sister who knows exactly where to drive the knife to hurt you the
most.” ― Lisa See
P.S. A sister is a gift to the heart, a friend to
the spirit, a golden thread to the meaning of life.
God Blez.
Very sweet, though it seems as if you have some regrets about the relationship (?). Not sure!
ReplyDeleteAfter my post about my sister I really feel for you. Very sad :(
ReplyDeleteNice post....The bond between two sister has always been special. My sister is my only sibling so can relate to your post :)
ReplyDeletethis is very touching <3
ReplyDeleteThat's a sweet note. True, sisters are special and perfect best friends!
ReplyDeleteI have a sister and there are many things that I never said to her....being the oldest, I've kept things from her because "I should know better" but I think that only made her think that she was never able to keep up.
ReplyDeleteYou captured a lot of emotion here- very poignant.
ReplyDeleteThanks for following me, and hope to see more of you around the web!
Lovely post !:)
ReplyDeleteHow lovely was this post? Thank you. I have to say I appreciate my two sisters more than most things in this life and that saying something as I really appreciate that as well.
ReplyDeleteAww :) You do love your sister na, I could feel it; but why does it seem like there is something missing in between you two.
ReplyDeleteWishing bot you sisters all the best in life :)
But why does the pos hv a note of regret
ReplyDeleteThat's a nice post on sisters, I liked it, we are four sisters, my eldest sister left to join the convent early in life, when I was very young, could not get much to be with her, though i miss her. My second sister and I are almost like twins, and we had a great understanding, we are there for each other. My younger sister is very different from all of us, and lives far and on her own, its nice to have sisters who are friends, thanks for sharing, it was such a sweet note..
ReplyDeleteWish I had a sister!!
ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful teaching. Thank you.
ReplyDelete-g-
I have nine sister! Sisters are human beings also. We all go through what we go through, however the most important thing is to forgive and move on. That's what I see today being for; another opportunity to set things right; since tomorrow isn't promised.
ReplyDeleteGod knows our hearts; all we can do is have a desire to do what is right according to Gods will and to have God bless our hearts to move toward it!
Sisters are people like everyone else and we all need to have our hearts transformed!
My brother passed away several years ago. Initially I had a few regrets for things undone and unsaid; but, I couldn't let the past hold me back and keep me from moving forward. I learned from what I didn't do unto him and put it into practice hence forth- from the moment that I learned the lesson!
God bless you! It is all good! Even when we don't think that it is!!
Wonderful post on sisterhood and what a heartfelt letter to your own sister. I see the person above me has nine sisters, whoa! I thought I had a lot. I have four, two older and two younger and we each have very different and unique relationships. I am a new follower from the challenge.
ReplyDeleteWith sisters, we stay estranged for a while, but we forgive soon enough. I could relate to this a bit. Thanks, nice one :-)
ReplyDeleteI hope you are able to repair your relationship with your sister. My sister is one of my best friends even though we have drifted apart over the years. She will always be the only person who really just gets "it."
ReplyDeleteI have a very special relation with my sister, coz she's a special child. :)
DeleteWow, makes me wish I had a sister. Very beautiful post

My relationship with my sister is not what it use to be but I still love her. Keep loving your sister no matter what. Blessings.
ReplyDeleteMy relationship with my sister is not what it use to be but I still love her in spite of her.
ReplyDeleteYour blog is great. Keep loving your sister and one day it will be what you desire. Blessings.
God bless your sister. She is very lucky to have someone like you.
ReplyDeleteI don't have a sister. Just a few female cousins who mostly oscillate between thinking of me as a mature, intelligent person and as an idiot. Reading your post kind of made me want to have a sister. Maybe I'll have a baby girl someday and then it'll be daddy-and-the-princess for some time :-)
Aww I felt sad when I read your comment about your sister being a special child. That explains the letter a lot.
ReplyDeleteAww, that's so sweet. Hugs to you, and I think I'll go hug my sister too!
ReplyDeleteVery sweet. I used to wish I had a sister, but I'm very happy with my brother. :)
