"Transition in Relations".
" It's sad when people u know become
people u knew. When you walk right past someone like they were never a big part
of your life. How you used to able to talk for hours and how now you can barely
even look at them."
PAST
She talked to them for hours and the topic starts from their thoughts and
wander around the universe. But still they never got tired of each other. 24*7
they were together in person, conference calls or video chats. They were like
some inseparable siblings. And they were soo damn proud of their relations,
infact everyone around them was.
PRESENT
Separated by distance and in hearts too. Don’t know wants happening in each
others’ life. Priorities changed, relations changed. Misunderstandings and egos
overtook intimacy. Once soulmates became acquaintances.
makes me sad :(
ReplyDeleteBut a very nice composition!
So it made you sad.
DeleteThank you! :)
That happens so often and is one of the wonderments of life. People come in and people go out. I used to think it was sad, and still do sometimes, but someone once told me, "that's life and when you think about it, it can be quite beautiful." Past relationships are replaced with present ones and the world just keeps turning! I do love your line "misunderstandings and egos overtook intimacy," though.
ReplyDelete(I have managed to come up with 11 nominees so far for the Very Inspiring Blog Award - I'm getting there - I just don't follow enough blogs yet!)
Life is certainly beautiful, but when we miss people who were there at certain times, that's the sad part.
Delete(Waiting to read the Award post)
Ouch! I suppose the old question would be, "Where did the love go?" hm??
ReplyDelete-g-
The love just vanished when ego was born! :)
DeleteIt's crazy how this happens. My best friend in high school adopted a new best friend after I got married, and I've hardly heard from her since. There were a few communications to begin with, but they've become fewer and fewer to the point where I haven't heard a peep in 3 years.
ReplyDeleteRelationships are all about the effort we put into them, eh? If they're not being fed, like a plant, they wilt and eventually die.
Guess some relations are like that. And I agree with relations compared to a plant. So true.
DeleteIt's crazy how this happens. My best friend in high school adopted a new best friend shortly after I got married. At first we communicated regularly--phone calls, visits, etc. Eventually it dried up. Truth, I haven't even heard from her in 3 years. Not a single word.
ReplyDeleteRelationships are like plants. You have to carefully nourish them if they're to thrive.
That's so sad, but it does happen. As yu older, you just outgrow a relationship.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for visiting my blog! So glad you're also doing the challenge!
And thank you for visiting my space too! :)
DeleteSad when this happens :(
ReplyDeleteHello! These are interesting thoughts here. Wishing you well with your writing!
ReplyDeleteHappy A to Z-ing! from Laura Marcella @ Wavy Lines
Thank you so much :)
DeleteA bit of transition in relations is necessary or else life would be so monotonous. By the way, one thing I like about being online, whether blogspot, twitter, stackoverflow or something else is that you still have some distance between you and others. (Facebook is kind of different in this regard.) It is good to get friends online, but who knows, next week you get into the most hectic project of your life for the next one and a half years and you get no time to talk or chat or write blog posts.
ReplyDeleteOne thing that I will concede is that it sure feels a lot awkward watching people who were close once, almost at a sibling level get away from each other. And mostly for no apparent reason.
I agree with the online fact. Virtual world is good when distance is to maintained, but still the relation is there, like some thread that connects both ends.
DeleteThat's the point... that feeling of awkwardness when watching them.
Heartwrenchingly true.
ReplyDelete:)
DeleteFelt painful but it's the story of every ones life at one point or other and at times there is no reason at all!!
ReplyDeleteMost of the times it's no reason or silly reason.
DeleteSad...but it happens so often!
ReplyDeleteinteresting post, Me! I can relate..
ReplyDeleteThank you :)
Deleteso sad, but unfortunately this is something that happens to some friendships.
ReplyDeleteSad-fully true :)
DeleteThis is so sad and true! Have you seen the video Strangers Again? It shows the 7 stages of relationships. Check it out here: http://youtu.be/tSdELZxEnHY
ReplyDeleteI just loved that video. Thank you so much for sharing! :)
DeleteYour post made me think about people I used to be such close friends with but somehow we grew apart, I have past them in the street and you barely recognise each other by more. It's very sad how that happens.
ReplyDeleteIt' so sad how relations just broke up.
DeleteA sad post that makes me think and remember the people in my life who used to be so vital but are now an infrequent status update on facebook.
ReplyDeleteFB is one medium that just brings up all those past things. And blocking up/deleting isn't an option too, that jus worsens the situatns
DeletePast and present nicely shown. But the story is sad. However I don't think true soulmates ever become acquaintances.
ReplyDeleteThank you. :)
DeleteV poigant but life happened?
ReplyDeleteA happy beginning but sad ending. Loved your thoughts. :)
ReplyDeleteSo sad that this happens sometimes...
ReplyDeleteSome people become distant yes, but they are not too far away. But some don't even deserve to be fb updates, I never accept the requests of people I didn't like.
ReplyDeleteI like how you did this; showed the before and after. It is very sad when we lose that closeness.
ReplyDeleteThis has happened to me so many times in my life. It makes me sad when I think about it, because I tend to be so loyal.
