After
ten years of marriage they sat across each other with light years of miles between them. In the silence each tick of the clock echoed their ears. Sometimes when
people love each other fiercely, just a bit of a strain can be the reason for the brittleness of their relation.
Years ago if it was their love for
children that brought them together, today it's the loss of a child that tore them away.
Initially they grieved together but when their grief took different routes they
just couldn’t stay together anymore.

DeleteHaving seen a couple lose their child up close, this isn't something I'd wish on anyone. Ever. Poignant tale, Sheethal.
ReplyDeleteMe too. It's the most horrific incident that can happen to parents.
Deletethat's a touching tale. It's sad to see how grief can overpower love
ReplyDeleteLove for her child was stronger than anything.
DeleteLoss of a child can definitely tear a marriage apart. It's sad, but also the reality. You've expressed it well.
ReplyDeleteThanks Shanaya.
DeleteAh! That's heartbreaking. An acquaintance of ours separated when they lost their child in an accident. A child is a big binding factor in most marriages.
