Where art thou, Muse?

One fine day when my life was not doing so fine, out of whim I decided to write about that. And gradually every quietly my blog was born. Initially I was the only person around, but that didn’t bother me. I just wanted a space to scribble down my thoughts. Some time passed and then April came. A-Z challenge happened. It’s a Geminian trait that you commit for anything and everything. Likewise I also did. But fortunately I completed the whole month. There I met many like-minded people and I started writing more, exploring more, getting inspired, got befriended and my blog was blooming. Again A-Z happened and many prompts and challenges and fests too. And some years passed with so much of writing.

When I started the blog, I was full time student, then a full time working woman in real life. But still I was able to take care of my space. But then I gave up my 9-5 desk job for my own work-space. Slowly work started to eat me up. Books, movies and sleep took up the little free time I got. I didn’t know at the other side of the world, my muse was waiting for me patiently to at least have a glance at him. But I was too busy to attend and eventually he got bored waiting for me, so he took a long vacation! Yes. He did that! I think it’s only a vacation since I believe and truly hope that he can’t really leave me. Can he?

So here I’m waiting for him to return with some juicy gossips and some dark tales from his almost a yearlong wander life.

Random Scribblings ...

Life is been pretty busy yet slow for the past few months. I have been technically away from blogging after the April challenge. I went for a vacation in June and from there it was kind of a roller-coaster ride. My Evernote is full of uncompleted drafts which I have no idea how to complete and yet I hope to do some other day of my life.

I have been investing my time and energy into a new venture of ours and it seems like at the end of the day I just want to curl up in my bed and sleep! Nothing else matters then. But should add, religiously I take my laptop every night and open MSWord thinking of scribbling something but which results in endless staring at the blinking cursor. Exhausted, I tune myself to a movie and stay glued to it.

I sometimes wish there was this technology where your writings from a notebook get transferred to your PC just-like-that. Likewise, I sometimes wish I could just pack my backpack and go see the world leaving all my obligations and responsibilities. Sometimes life is full of those just-like-that wishes. At times I get this sudden irresistible urge to go somewhere far alone for sometime, or just sleep for a whole day, or be invisible from everything or start up something dramatic or just blog more frequently. I know all these are not so not-possible things. But just mundane very much possible things. I know… I know… but sometimes it’s just difficult. Maybe I’m just too lazy.

Recently a dear friend of mine send me an excerpt from a book. It’s about the author been questioned about his past. The author is proud about the things he has done in his yester-years, but the people around him question the morality in that. What do you think? Personally I believe my past defines me. I have done wrong, took the most stupid decisions, have compromised for less worth things, have hurt my near ones, have suffered the consequences of my doings,  have lost and gained, smiled and cried ... but I don’t regret anything I have done. Maybe if given a chance I might have opted for more subtle decisions when it’s concerned with other people. But still I believe our yesterdays are just are learning days were we gain courage to grow. Hope we all gain strength from our past and have the courage and energy to live our present with a dream of brighter tomorrows.

So what is your take on this? And is your day going on?

Lazy Ramblings

Today the nectar from the skies was showering down from morning. When in Middle East these drizzles are an added bonus. You just feel so good and happy. And the desert looked all fresh and rejuvenated after their "once in a blue moon" shower. So all over it was a blissful lazy rainy Saturday here.

But as the morning started to wore off, my DND (do not disturb) mode started to do a sneak peek from behind its hiding place. And the best thing of my life is, I was always lucky to meet people who matches my weirdness. Be it me in my irritating or cranky or DND or hyper active mode I know I could count on these people. And recently a friend of mine told, "I don't know why I talk to you. It's like even thou I can't stand you, I still can't ignore you too". And for me, that's friendship.

By the way, today is my parents wedding anniversary. The 32th year of their togetherness. Actually 32th year of their marriage life. Before that they had a "before marriage" love life. But they never disclose those details to me. I came to know that theirs was a love marriage through my cousin sister during our gossip sessions. That's the advantage of having a whole gang of cousins. You get to know all the "before you were born" family secrets. ;)

So Dad and Mom, Happy Anniversary. Even thou at times you both get into my nerves, you're the best parents a child could ever dream of. Thanks for been with me even when I was not a good daughter, even when I was arrogant and rude and for giving me a wonderful home and a beautiful family. I love you both.

P.S. I was too lazy to wake up my creative cells and do tolerate this ramblings of mine. :)

Ramblings.

At times everything feels so confused.

Everyone seems so distant. Every moment looks lonely. Every deeds seems like mistakes. Every dream looks like nightmares. Every familiar face looks strange.

Every smiles seems to have a hidden tear behind.

If... life did came with a manual of what to do and what not to do.

P.S. Wishing happiness to all.

Random.

Last week in our church here, a guy died of meningitis. He was rather young, recently married and his wife is also working here. Even thou he was a member of our church, he never kept in touch with anyone or came to church. So when he died actually no one came to know, unless someone from Kerala called our parish priest and said the news. And it was with much difficulty they identified the person and their residence and did all the legal formalities to get his body back to Kerala.

As always I say and believe life is unpredictable. Birth, death, accidents... anything can happen to a person. So why make it difficult to the rest of the people. When the guy died, literally the wife was to shaken to do anything. And in a foreign place she was all alone, with a dead husband, no relatives, maybe some colleagues and some huge lot of legal formalities. And when people from our church rushed to her, she was relieved. Atleast she could rely upon someone.

In life it’s always important to have family and friends and a good social circle. Especially if you are in a foreign place away from family and your close relations, get to know someone at that place and keep in touch with the community. There should be someone who knows everything about us. There should be at least a soul, apart from family or better half, who knows us to the core. Human relation are always more important than money, profession, time and whatever follows.

If you have a person or two who could read your mind from your voice or face, I believe you are richest.

Random.

We tend to love certain people like none other. They may not be our blood, partner, family or anyone. Just a random person we met along journey of life. But during that journey they become one of the important soul to us. They may be with us till the end, or they just go through another way. But what ever it is, they will always be there in our life visibly or invisibly.

So why do we love and give soo much importance to certain people?

Maybe out of familiarity.

Maybe out of understanding.

Maybe out of care.

Maybe out of friendship.

Maybe out of feelings.

Maybe out of passion.

Maybe coz the person makes you feel complete.

Maybe coz of the happiness you give each other.

Maybe coz they make you feel good.

Maybe coz of the smiles you give each other.

Maybe coz of what they are to you.

Maybe coz of what you become for them.

Maybe just coz you love that person.

A loving relationship is one in which the loved one is free to be himself – to laugh with me, but never at me; to cry with me, but never because of me; to love life, to love himself, to love being loved. Such a relationship is based upon freedom and can never grow in a jealous heart.

Till Date…

At 13, I never really had any confusion or worries or anything. I was good at school, maybe except for Maths. I was not terrible but was never good. I had more than enough of friends, pocket money, and boys never crossed my mind at that point as I was in a girl’s school. I never thought about the future, except for my next day’s school works and how I along with my peers could bunk the class. I loved my school and teachers too, so I was actually Happy!

At 15, I started worrying about my first Board exams. But still had fun. Me and my friends cleared my boards with a good score. So that was also happy endings, except for that all friends were going along different paths.

At 17, two years of 11th & 12th were horrible. Only coz I hated the place I studied. But there was an English teacher, who liked me soo much, even thou I was a huge trouble for her for two years.

At 20, I was heartbroken, but still I smiled and enjoyed life and college.

At 22, First time in life I was worried about the future. And had no idea where I was going and what ‘m gonna do.

One year later, even thou nothing changed much and I still worry about my tomorrows, I know everything is gonna happen as it is meant to be. We do play a certain role in it. And we are doing it or screwing it knowingly or unknowingly.

So, am I happy about my Today? No idea! But I am happy about this very moment.

P.S. Ramblings!!!

Random Talks

When someone says you don’t sound like a Keralite…:) :)...  Don’t know whether it was in a good way or not….. But I prefer taking it as a compliment…. Especially when I have heard a lot of teasing regarding my accent back home.

I couldn’t thank you at that moment….. .. .. Blame it on Work pressure, please…  But Thank you.

Expressions

I talked to you last night

Like old days

We smiled, shared, fought and loved

But in my Dreams.

P.S. I miss you.
