Her Solitude World

Tucked in a corner, away from the crowd, she felt secure and moreover happy. Rather than the faces that gave rude commands and mean demands, she preferred her fairies, princess, long lost treasures, mysteries, her famous five and secret seven gangs.

A smile escaped her lips when she opened her world and she felt at home.

To A Friend,

Its been long since we had a talk/chat with each other. Long since our last gossips and teasing. We were friends once and we are friends even now. Once, we were friends who could tell anything to each other without any hindrance. But now we are friends of formalities. What changed us? As it says, "As time goes priorities changes"... is it the change in priorities made uz different. Or is it we just sticked to each other when we were in one place? I never got its answer and still pondering. Tried to smooth the hard rocks between us, but it seems like now a days we are interested in each others flaws only, instead of the relation and the moments we shared.

Like any other relation, after the initial love, misunderstandings, in differences and everything comes up in friendship too. And in tackling them lies the challenge.

Maybe whatever happened and happening is for a reason. Hoping the reasons end up to be good and also wishing you a very Happy Birthday. Stay blessed. I do miss you.

Loads of love,

P.S.  Unsend letter to a friend who got drifted apart with time and distance.

Dear Diary,

What to do when we keep coming to dead ends after travelling for miles? We become tired and disheartened and at one point decide to end up everything. I’m also thinking the same...
Where will my tomorrows take me?
Will I be able to see my people from there? Can I assure them that it’s not their fault, but only mine? Will I ever get a chance to tell I love them one last time?

Don’t know…

But I knew it was my last day there, when I left my safe heaven, yet a golden cage, a few hours ago…

This week’s prompt is by the very creative Sugandha of Shades of Life. She's doing a month long story about two friends. Do visit :)

The house was so full of noise. Cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents, near and far relations... every single space was filled with happy smiles and non stop blabbering's.

Pooja felt happy, but at the same time frustrated too. In two days she was supposed to pack her bags to her new house and family. She was happy to be getting married to her Mr. Love, but fear tingles her tummy at the thought of leaving her childhood home,  precious room and her folks. Her mom was constantly reminding her that, from now on-wards her in-laws and their home was her own. "But, how am I going to manage in a strange place, among new people all alone? ", she thought to herself. She was getting frantic.

Just then,  "Aah... here you are, daydreaming? ". Her cousins teased from behind. Ignorance is indeed bliss, she thought to herself and went to join them neglecting her fears and smiling.

"Everything happens for a reason". This is a phrase we hear very often, especially when anything goes wrong. Life itself is for a reason. But what? That's a question all of us ponder at one point or the other. It's said that, we all have a purpose in life and if we are able to identify it, then we become the master/mistress of our life.

Life, a book I never understands, but still never got bored off. It's more like an university where you see a combination of many ideologies, principles and cultures. I had my life pre-planned right from an early age. I knew exactly how I wanted to live my years here. I wanted to be this, do that, be a difference, bring smiles and blah blah blah.....

But when man proposes, God disposes. God just disposed every single plan of mine and began implementing his own. On the other side, I, as a lost child stood dazzled with sudden changes and the never expected days that followed. Felt sad initially, but later on I was like, 'whatever' and decided to tag along with him. Then with the present scenario, when I started planning my tomorrows yet again, Dhum! Tale mein phir twist! I just never understood these playing of chakras/fate/God.

When anything ulta pulta happens I picture God as a man with white long beard and blue eyes (a combination of Jesus Christ and Dumbledore) sitting in front of a huge chessboard like board, where we all human beings are placed, playing our respective game called life. And when he sees that our lives are going good, peaceful and smoothly, he kind of feel bored and drops a bomb and makes it a mess. And he would be smiling like a child who got caught doing something naughty. A naughty grin with twinkling eyes.... Grrrrrrr.......

Now, back to where 'tale mein twist' happened... My plans again got jeopardised.  Then and there I decided "Enough of plans". Let everything happen as the highness like. There also he started playing with me. He kept on changing his moves so often, that I got tired of life and reached a point where I had to say those three magical words to my life, "I hate you".

God, then running his hands through his beard said, "Fine, for some days I am gonna leave you in peace. But soon I'll be back with my tricks and pranks." Winked and went for his vacation.

When he plays with me and my life, I sit here without any glue on what's gonna happen next. I wish I could visit God once and ask him what he have planned for me in the coming days/years. But No, that's impossible. Guess, he's busy playing with someone's life always!
(Grumpy face)

P.S. Now, this was not what I wanted to write initially. But see, here also he had his own way. Don't he get distracted at-least for a second?

P.S.S. God, whatever I said here was the result of your behaviour towards me recently. But that doesn't mean I don't love you! :D

Human Rights.

Human rights are those Rights which are entitled to us for our peaceful, harmonious and happy existence in this world. And one of the basic right is "Right to Education".

I am a girl who enjoys reading, writing and social networking. I love the world of books and words. If I was illiterate, this would be a restricted area for me. I was allowed all these fantasies of books because I was taught to read and read and because my parents knew the power of letters.

Education is the key to a better life. Proper education doesn't only provide you stability but makes you aware about the present scenario of our surroundings. It also provides us immense confidence in ourselves.
We are living in a world which is filled with injustice and immorality. Girls are not safe even in their own homes.  Anywhere anytime anything can happen to a woman. Can we erase it completely? Maybe no. But we can surely reduce them. Education is the key to eliminating gender inequality, reducing poverty, creating s sustainable planet, preventing needless death and illness, making aware of one's rights and privileges.
While education is recognized as the most powerful weapon to achieve reconciliation, it is denied to 28.5 million children in conflict-affected countries. And around 250 million children cannot read, write or count well.

"One child, one teacher, one book and one pen can change the world" - words of Malala Yousafzai, the girl who fought the Taliban with her words.

When we enjoyed the right of education isn't it our duty to ensure that to others too? Human rights are for everyone, irrespective of anyone's caste, religion, complexion or financial status. There are so many people around us, who doesn't know that primary education is compulsory and free.

Only we the so called "educated modern people" can bring a difference. Let's do our bit. And the world will follow.

Every once in a while...

She wished to be bold
Wished to be adamant
Wished.... she had the voice to say No
Wished... she had the strength to push the hands that was corrupting her...
To keep away from the body that was destroying her
To tear the face that was tearing her soul
To erase the him as he erased her childhood...
She wished to be treated as a child and not as some lifeless doll
Every once in a while...
She wish to go back to her mother's womb
Her safe heaven, where she could sleep with nothing or noone to fear.

The Silence.

Looking out at the vastness of the sea, her mind wandered from heaven and earth, life and death, smiles and tears and came to an abrupt stop on him...

She thought he'll understand her silence. He'll know that her solitude was not a way of ignoring him, but was just the way she understands herself. Her silence was not to hurt him and herself.

But like words, silence was also misread...

Love through a Bride's Eyes! :)

Ladies and Gentlemen,
Welcome to the first Guest post in my Blog.
About the author through my eyes:
I first met her through ABC challenge and she was the first person to find my blog and connect. And then she was doing a month long story on Asha. And while snooping around her blog, one thing that hooked me to her is that she is also a Gemini like me! :D Then and there started our similarities, coincidences, friendship, chit chats and whatsapp'ing.
So here I present the star of the day, my soul sister from the virtual world and soon-gonna-be-bride, our own Ishithaa Girl, Bhavya.
Check out her page. She's doing another month long story and you won't be disappointed. My word on that. :)
Now, over to Bhavya...
What is love? Yes, the age old question!

I know, umpteen people give that many definitions to that one feeling. When you think deeper, play with your thoughts, you come to realize that the very emotion called love is at play at the root of every relation.

Isn’t it Love when a sister gives the last bit of her favorite dessert to her brother?
Isn’t it Love when a father’s tiredness vanishes at the mere smile of his little angel?
Isn’t it Love when your puppy wags his tail incessantly showing his happiness that you’re back home?
Isn’t it Love when a mother nurses her sick child back to health even when her own health is failing?

That being said, there is another kind of love. The love between two people who have chosen each other to spend their lives together, share their dreams and tackle their fears together… That is the love I’m talking about.
It is a Gemini thing to have dual nature for each and every thing in life, but situations like romance and love are tough I tell you. There is that basic instinct in you to guard fiercely the little place in your heart and let no one enter in there just because you are afraid – of getting hurt, getting your heart broken or trampled over, of being vulnerable. On the other hand, there is the deep need within you to unite with your soulmate to such an extent that you are no longer two different individuals but become what is said to be one soul living in two bodies.

I’d love to know how you have maintained your relationships. Do you hold back and guard yourself against pain or just let yourself go and live in the moment basking in the warmth of new love?
