J for ... #AtoZChallenge2016

" Joy "

Long ago a person happened in my life. He got a persona which keeps you attracted to him. And it was no wonder when I got befriended with him so quickly. Even when he would be in the middle of problems only, one could always see the positiveness in him. A smile, an energy. He used to tell, one person should focus on small small happiness in life, rather than waiting for something big to happen.

Before that I don’t know whether I focused on tiny moments of life. But after that I surely did. It doesn’t mean I don’t feel sad, grumpy or frustrated. I do. But a book or a conversation with a friend or shopping or a drive or me-time would take my mind away from my grumpiness.

There’s always something in life which will make you smile and present you with some joyous moments. It just takes one to open one’s eyes and look around. The small things always hold the biggest joy. The smile of a child, clear blue sky, serene beach, hot steaming coffee, a surprise visit or a call from a dear one or just an ice cream … only these are required to make us smile. To give us a joyous moment. We all miss our school and college days so much. Did something big happen those year that we remember them with a smile and maybe a tear? No. It was just the summation of so many tiny tot moments that we still hold close to our heart.

Live life treasuring and recording every small moments in life. They make our life joyous and happy and memorable.

  1. the smallest of things sometimes bring the greatest of joy :) May you find many such moments :)

  2. I have been saying the same thing to myself too. We are sometimes too caught up in all that life has to offer that we fail to notice the little things that bring us joy. Good one, Sheethal!
