We Did It!

And today we come to the end of a month long blogging challenge of January.

Eventhou it was a last moment decision to do the challenges, I’m so glad I we did it. I was not along in this, Bhavya of Ishithaa was also there with me from the start. Even when we failed to post now and then, we did catch up very soon.

We take this moment to give credits to our fellow blogger friends who took part in the challenge, and gave immense support through out JairamKajalKathyMichelleNabanitaRichaSuzy Que,Shilpa. And also to the very awesome Write Tribe.

And now we can proudly present the badges,

So until we meet next time, Goodbye. :)

The Last Laugh

It was a tough phase for Rhea, a test of sorts. More than the body it was affecting her mind as she continued to fight a battle which she assumed she’d already lost.

Gradually, her husband was successful in making her realize that all she had to do was fight. That even if nobody else stood by her, she had to stand up for her ideals. Over time Rhea had collected enough proof to expose the wolf hiding in the lamb’s clothing.

She had the last laugh as she watched her boss being arrested for money laundering and employee harassment

My City. My Home.

I love going to places but uprooting to another soil on a permanent basis…. Aaah???

For most of my life I have been here, in Kerala...

My school and college days were in this city. Even thou I never admitted my love for this place, and had got bored of its lack of entertainment and hang outs am so in love with this city. Its here I was born, grownup, educated, loved, dreamed, shattered, gained, lost and everything that matters in my life till date happened in this very city. This is not my home town. I was just a visitor. But now this is my home.

My Love, My Heart and My Soul.

Now when I uprooted myself from here to a strange familiar world, I felt lost.

I always enjoyed the tag of an NRI I got from my peers even when I was very much RI (Residing Indian). But excluding all those vacations enjoyed with KFC’s, Pizzas and Chocolates I was always here.

I always wanted to move to somewhere far away from everyone. But when the time came to pack up and flew... my mind backed off.

Maybe……

Coz I am not what others think I am.

Coz I m scared of changes.

Coz……….

Changes are inevitable but …….

I ‘m gonna miss my place like anything.

I ‘m gonna miss all those hangouts where I watered my solitude and thoughts.

Night rides to meet the silent nature.

Waves who kisses on my feet when I say bye.

The untouchable moon and the shore who saw my smiles, tears and loneliness.

Fairgrounds where I loitered around.

Sneak outs with sibling to satisfy an irresistible need for ice creams.

Dream world which saw the real me right from my growing days.

Hideout with its divinity or so called second home.

People who are just kilometers apart now will be seas apart soon.

But above all

I would miss those frequent visits to the people I miss most and wish were still in my life.
I would miss being with them and giving them flowers on their and my special days.

I didn't know what I was dreading about….

The changes or the future or maybe even the past?

But life has to move on....

And it did move on...even after I came here in Middle East...

Even thou I miss my home, I started loving my new home. :)

Blissful Rain

It was raining hard yesterday night. In this part of my country, which records on an average 3000 millimeters of rain annually, it is not a surprise phenomenon. But what never changes is how the rain brings out those aspects of me which were hitherto unknown even to me.

The water droplets checking their reflection against my window glass, the distant drum roll of thunder, the Nature draped in a fresh green sari, as if waiting for the sun to come out and propose to her and make her blush-isn't all this enough to bring out the romantic in you?

There's no bliss greater than the kiss of rain on your lips, no other ecstasy comparable to the high from dancing to the tune of rain, no other hug warmer than the water droplets caressing your body...

Past.... Can You Come Back to Me?

Sometimes you badly wish to go back in time.
Go back to the time when your biggest worry was HOMEWORK.
When there was no heart breaks. No painful tears.
When you didn't had to worry about your tomorrows.
When you Never cried thinking about your yesterdays.
When dreams were believed and not shattered.
When fighting with friends meant having fun.
When Tom & Jerry was the favorite pass time.
When Dad was the only guy you loved and trusted.

But there are times when you wish to go back to a specific day...
To rewrite your fate, to change your destiny,
To make it more tolerable.

You wish you had a time machine.
You wish you could just fly back to time.
Back to that day when you was genuinely Smiling....

But Life is all about moving forward,
Walking on with all those pasts and the strength bestowed by them,
To make a more better future.

Silent Smile...

The moment he walked into the house, he knew something was not right. This was not the way his Lydia was, this was not the way she kept her house, their home she had painstakingly decorated and maintained.

Magazines scattered about the hallway, the upturned flower vase and the dirty footprints leading to one of the rooms inside was more than enough to make his heart skip a few beats.
As he stepped inside cautiously, his mind was conjuring up vivid grotesque images of what might have transpired in his house during the few hours that he was away.

The sight that awaited him inside shocked him to the core. Hugging her little nephew who had come for a surprise visit, Lydia was sleeping peacefully with a smile on her face!

Not Alone...

Neha stepped into the campus much earlier than her usual time. It was only yesterday that she lost a parent. She was not suppose to be here now, but been at home and engulfing in grief was more than she could handle. So escaping into the cheerfulness of campus was her only way.

She came early, because she needed time to compose herself before her friends started coming and comforting her. But when she reached her class, she saw the least expected person. Her bestfriend. He was one person who never reached class before the lecture starts. And here he was now, an hour before the college time. He was sitting at his usual place as if waiting for her, to assure her of his friendship. Sometimes the heart sees what is invisible to the eyes. And at that moment she felt less lonely and more loved.
